The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and its vending partner, LinPepCo, operate a variety of vending machines throughout campus. Additionally, Vending Services at UNL works with departments and student organizations (in coordination with Student Leadership, Involvement, & Community Engagement) to bring Pepsi products to events directly from LinPepCo. They are the primary contact for questions and requests related to vending sites, equipment, and products, and assist with the coordination of site repairs, modifications, and enhancements, serving as the liaison between UNL and the university's exclusive beverage and vending provider.
UNL and Pepsi Partnership
The partnership between Pepsi-Cola and UNL was designed to "make a difference" for the campus and is responsible for establishing new programs and projects, and enhancing existing programs. Some of the goals and objectives supported by this partnership include:
- Student scholarships
- Academic enhancements
- Campus / student life initiatives
- Community service and outreach initiatives
- Athletics and recreational activities
- Title IX support
- Campus ID technology development
- Food service operations
- Facilities support
An exclusive beverage agreement with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and LinPepCo went into effect on July 1, 1997. Pepsi is the official soft drink of UNL. Beverages served at university-sponsored events must be Pepsi products. Non-Pepsi products served on-campus by UNL approved food caterers are allowed at privately catered events in suites, corporate tents, or other small private spaces, provided that the event is not sponsored or advertised by the university.
